After activating the Knowledge Base plugin, you will be automatically redirected to the Setup Wizard. The Setup Wizard guides you through the initial Knowledge Base configuration so it is ready to use.
If the Setup Wizard has not been completed, the Dashboard will continue to direct you to finish setting up your Knowledge Base. This is because there is no Knowledge Base content for the Dashboard to display until the initial setup is complete.
Technically, you do not need to use the Setup Wizard if you prefer to manually create your Knowledge Base by adding the KB shortcode or KB block to a page yourself. However, that manual setup must still be completed before the Dashboard can function properly.
The Setup Wizard is by far the easiest way to configure your Knowledge Base. It takes less than a minute to complete, and none of the settings are permanent. You can change them at any time from the settings page or simply re-run the Setup Wizard whenever you like.
