How to Archive Knowledge Base

KB that is active can be archived. This step is necessary before the KB can be deleted (deletion feature comes in one of the future releases).

To archive a KB go to Manage KBs screen from WordPress admin menu -> Knowledge Base:

manage multiple KBs

There you can find and archive a particular KB.

Archived knowledgebase:

  • Is only visible on Manage KBs screen
  • Is hidden on Articles, Categories, Tags, Configuration screens
  • Has Main Page and Article Pages inaccessible


Archived KB has still its articles (custom post types) are still stored in the database in publish state. The Main Page with KB shortcode still exist. However the front-end user will not see them.
